Had a great night at Truffle Shuffle last Monday with none other than special guest DJ Count Skylarkin, who joined us at Bacchus fresh from doing a music review at BBC Radio Live earlier that day. The Count brought down a fine selection of rhythm & blues and even touched upon some ska, and whipped the crowd up into a dancing frenzy with classic tracks such as It’s Your Voodoo Working by Charles Sheffield as well as his own production, a bootleg of Son of a Preacher Man titled ‘Dub of a Preacher Man’ which will be coming out very shortly. He also regularly plays festivals such as The Big Chill, Beachdown & Truck Festival in what is know as The Disco Shed, also puts on superb nights at The Big Chill House in London &  at The Cellar in Oxford, so be sure to check out the links below

Really great night and was a real pleasure to have him down, big up to the Count!!!

This New Years Eve I’ll be playing alongside fellow Truffle DJ Jon Gillies with a special set from our regular Truffle Shuffle night at Bacchus Late Bar! at £7.50 entry all night and free booze for the early party-goers, this gives all your other bog standard Kingston mush nights a run for its money

Heard some bad new’s the other day, one of my favourite Friday night out’s in Kingston has been scrapped..

Lavish at Bacchus was the real alternative Friday in Kingston upon Thames, it’s been going for some 6 odd years and was a welcome break from a hard weeks work, so many good times in there, used to party out to a mixture of disco, indie (old and new!), motown, hip hop classic’s, bit o’ drum & bass (nothing too mental ya know?) it’s such a shame that the club would not hold onto this one..

Well here’s to you Lavish, thanks for making my Friday nights in the K’Hole all that whole lot more fun..
