Just got Skate 2 for the Playstation 3 and very impressed with it so far, and one of the great features of this game is you can record your tricks live and upload them to EA!! here’s what I’ve managed to land.

Had a great night at Truffle Shuffle last Monday with none other than special guest DJ Count Skylarkin, who joined us at Bacchus fresh from doing a music review at BBC Radio Live earlier that day. The Count brought down a fine selection of rhythm & blues and even touched upon some ska, and whipped the crowd up into a dancing frenzy with classic tracks such as It’s Your Voodoo Working by Charles Sheffield as well as his own production, a bootleg of Son of a Preacher Man titled ‘Dub of a Preacher Man’ which will be coming out very shortly. He also regularly plays festivals such as The Big Chill, Beachdown & Truck Festival in what is know as The Disco Shed, also puts on superb nights at The Big Chill House in London & at The Cellar in Oxford, so be sure to check out the links below

Really great night and was a real pleasure to have him down, big up to the Count!!!

Dr Blood Guest DJ Set at Truffle Shuffle!

Managed to record a very special Truffle Shuffle on the Monday just gone, 7th December where we had superb guest DJ’s Dr Blood & Spasticus. Bit’s of the night was recorded onto Mini Disc of which I have Dr Blood & myself’s (which I’ve stuck up in the Podcast Bar at the top of this site!) and here’s the first half of Dr Blood’s set, great selection of tunes starting off with a corker from The Champs.

Brilliant night and thanks to the boys, especially ‘the Blood’ for popping in on his way back from Sweden – nice!

Truffle Shuffle NYE 09′ Special

This New Years Eve I’ll be playing alongside fellow Truffle DJ Jon Gillies with a special set from our regular Truffle Shuffle night at Bacchus Late Bar! at £7.50 entry all night and free booze for the early party-goers, this gives all your other bog standard Kingston mush nights a run for its money

Fun starts at 10pm and goes on till 3am!

Aquatics to your Door required a brand new e-commerce site to expand their business selling online tropical, marine and pond fish. With over 700 products to sell, mostly live stock, Aquatics needed a online store that was simple & fast to use for it’s customers as well as it’s staff. Getting the general look & feel of the site just right was one of the many challenges I faced when building this site, and along with lots of custom coding & tweaks to the shopping cart software, I think I can safely say this has been my most ambitious website build to date.

Just some of the add-on’s made to the site:

1. Due to different the temperaments of tropical fish I built a custom key system into the product pages that was configurable by the staff when they uploaded products to the site admin.

2. A feature of their previous website was to be able to pair up fish that house well with others, this was also built into the new site along with the addition of a recommended food category.

3. With the delivery of live stock, time was an important factor and dates needed to be chosen by the customer and not by the supplier (which is common practice in most e-commerce websites). A complex calendar system was installed for this purpose.
